This is a poem in honor of women from all walks of life.
Each woman in this poem is someone very special in my own life. And I hope that you can see yourself in your own beauty reflected in these words, as well as the women in your own world.
Even though we have our individuality we also share universal commonalities so this for you and for me and it’s for all the women in our lives and the beautiful men that support and love women in this world.
The Gift of a Woman
In her inner universe life began
From Seeds of Love to
Creation divine
Unfolding in time
She is mother, daughter, friend, sister, colleague, partner… Elder…
From the beginning to forever
THANK YOU for the gift of your love,
your care, your presence, your grace and strength
YOU are the beginning and never the end
Oh Wonder Woman
You give life to us all
Like mother earth gives life to all her creations
The greatest blessing is life itself
And through YOU life is possible
Life and ongoing life from before to forever after
The gift of you is eternal
And so is the magnitude of my gratitude
Time and time again
She surfaces in her glory
She’s a magnificent divine creation
And so is her story…
Her butterfly wings are unique as can be
She travels among flowers and rests on trees
Her light touches lightly yet nourishes deep
SHE elevates the spirit of everyone she meets
A wayshower, teacher, healer and guide
She is an angel in disguise
And then there is the wise woman
STRONG as an oak tree
With a big open heart she lets you in
Healing others with her medicine while her own wounds she tends
Her scars run deep but so does her strength
Despite the aches, she rises TIME AND TIME AGAIN
The strength of her ancestors carry her through
They whisper guidance through dreams and visions too
Sending messages in symbols that she always receives
SHE hears the echoes of their unfinished dreams
And. Keeps. Moving. Forward
Another gift from life
La Reina de Amor
Her love is as vast as the sky
And deep as the ocean floor
Blessed with the gift of sight
She heal with her eyes
Blows kisses with her heart
And mends pieces that were broken apart
She is a healer, teacher, leader of love
Speaks in truth
Anchored in roots
And always in love
Beautiful women, sisters and friends
What I see in you and you see in me
Is the gift of eternity
Expressed uniquely
Helping each other learn, grow, heal and be free
May we each continue to be who were created to be
Fully, freely and completely
The gift of a woman is one to behold
Watch as her petals unfold
She will bless you in every way
So long as you honor her in every way
Every day, every step of the way
That is the only way.
After all, humanity only exists because women birthed the way…
So please, if you haven’t yet, let’s all make it a habit to honor ourselves, each other and the women in our lives today and every day in our own special ways…
